As we go through life, we often rely on our rational minds to make decisions. However, there’s a force within us that often goes overlooked – the power of intuition. Intuition is our inner guide, our gut feeling that speaks to us in a way the rational mind can’t. When we learn to tap into our intuition and surrender to our soul, we open ourselves up to a new level of consciousness and self-awareness. This is the key theme for all us souls to learn this year and we are experiencing this evolution right now.

In this blog, I’ll be sharing the signs that you’re becoming more conscious and aware, ‘surrendering to your soul’. I’ll explore the possible causes of some recent health issues you could be experiencing over the past few months, this can provide valuable insights for us all. It’s worth remembering that illness can sometimes be a signal that we need to reconnect with our inner voice and purpose as we grow and change.

Get quiet and listen

To tap into your intuition, you need to quiet your mind and listen. Set aside time each day to sit in silence, and just be. It can be helpful to focus on your breath or repeat a mantra to keep your mind from wandering. As you sit in silence, pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that arise. These are often messages from your intuition. 

Follow your impulses

Have you ever had a sudden impression or impulse, but dismissed it as illogical? Chances are, that impulse was your intuition at work. Start paying attention to these impulses, and trust them. Take that leap, even if it scares you. Trust that your intuition has your best interests at heart.

Trust your body

Our bodies are powerful instruments and often hold the wisdom of our intuition. Pay attention to how your body feels in certain situations. Does a certain person or situation make you feel tense, or relaxed? Does your gut tell you to say yes, or no? Listening to these bodily sensations can help you tap more into your intuition.

Notice the signs

As we start to awaken our intuition, we will often receive signs and synchronicities that confirm we are on the right path. Keep an eye out for these signs; they can come in the form of dreams, repeated numbers, or chance encounters. Believe in the signs that are leading you towards your best interests. You might feel a calling to begin a spiritual routine, like meditation, yoga, or inner healing, or take a course. As you expose yourself to more positivity, you may feel changes in your physical body too, and a greater urge to engage in more spiritual activities. Learning and even mastering healing techniques can assist you in controlling your energy flow and accelerate your spiritual progression.


As you grow and evolve, your relationships with family and friends may change, especially during a time of eclipses and full moons or a lot of cosmic activity. This change can lead to disagreements and even cause your loved ones to address this change in you. However, it’s important to understand that an argument does not mean the end of a relationship. Keep an open mind and work together to learn from each other, growing closer in the process.

Health and Wellbeing

Your body is always whispering to you; if we don’t take the time to listen, then it will shout and even scream at you! Paying attention to the whispers of intuitive messages in our daily lives and being consciously aware can help us stop the body from screaming at us before we feel real physical pain so that we can make lifestyle changes quickly when needed. I suggest doing a daily body scan during your meditation practice where you focus on each part of your body and ask yourself how you feel today, and what does my body need today. It takes some practice, like anything the more we connect and trust the more the information comes through.

Based on my experience as a certified practitioner of Theta Healing Intuitive Anatomy and Medical Intuition Technique (MIT), I have created a list of symptoms and illnesses that can be seen as messages from the soul, indicating that up-levelling and changes are coming. Illnesses can occur due to self-sabotage or when the body is purging old toxic emotions, behaviours or substances that it needs to remove.

Headaches and migraines

This can happen when your brain is creating new neural pathways; it’s like it’s making new ways to think. It can also happen when you are pushing yourself too hard or not allowing your body to rest, or you are dehydrated and the body needs more water to create the changes in you.

Drink lots of water and get some rest.

Flu type symptoms

You might feel some physical signs, but it doesn’t mean you are sick. This is because your energy is changing. You might have a fever or hot sweats. This means your body is getting rid of bad toxins and helping you think clearer.


Sometimes during big energy events like eclipses and supermoons, you may feel strange. Grounding will make you feel better, take deep breaths and imagine that your feet are connected with the natural bare ground for support and spending time in nature.

Ears ringing

You may hear a sound that is like a tuning fork in one or both ears; it will be high-pitched and come and go slowly, not hurting, and happening randomly. This is different from tinnitus. Ear downloads are the way that information is coming in: the right ear means you are receiving instructions on your next steps, while the left ear is new coding to align with who you are becoming.

Heart fluttering

At times, you may experience fluttering in your thymus gland which may be confused with heart palpitations. This gland is related to spiritual awakening and is located in the heart chakra area. A helpful way to ground yourself during such experiences is to tap the gland using your two middle fingers.

Cough or shortness of breath

Your lungs are about taking in a greater capacity for life. You may need to also release old stored grief in your lungs which could cause shortness of breath as your energy field expands. To maintain steady breath flow, you can try spending time in salt rooms or infra-red saunas, in addition to practising deep abdominal breathing by inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. Having some healing sessions can benefit by addressing the metaphysical side of the reason for the old grief. 

Stomach irritation sickness and irregular bowel movements

This is all centred around your solar plexus which is the centre of personal power. You might experience symptoms such as stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea as your body releases old emotions and energy.

  • You may have the feeling you need to water fast for a few days or start eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water can help to combat these issues.
  • Taking pre and probiotics or digestive enzymes may be beneficial in helping to restore balance in your gut bacteria.
  • Avoiding processed food can also reduce stomach irritation.

In addition, incorporating herbs and essential oils into your routine can help to reduce inflammation and improve digestion. Try adding ginger, turmeric, fennel or peppermint tea to your daily diet – all of which have anti-inflammatory properties that can assist with digestive health. Aromatherapy can also be beneficial in helping to soothe the stomach; take a few moments to relax and slowly inhale the scent of lavender, chamomile or sandalwood essential oils.

Neck Pain

You may be experiencing neck pain that could be related to the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the main nerve that runs from your brain to your large intestine and goes through your neck, chest, heart, and lungs before reaching your abdomen and intestines. This nerve is linked to your heart and can be activated when you feel tightness in your neck, which might be due to the stress of life changes. This activation can also cause a feeling of expansion or fluttering in your mind.

Metaphysically speaking a pain in the neck can be around not accepting guidance from your soul and the higher vibrations entering your body, you may also experience stiffness in your neck and shoulders.

Sore muscles and joints during times of change may be caused by old, toxic energy leaving your body, and struggling to keep holding onto old situations can be cursing discomfort. Energy blockages can lead to muscle and joint pain so it’s crucial to keep your body moving, and/or to try a massage, infrared sauna, or Epsom salt bath.


If you find yourself waking up between certain times during the night or early hours, it could be because your energy is still and your soul becomes active during this period and wants to communicate with you. This could be a good opportunity to clear your mind and listen to your intuition. Since your mind and body is quiet during these hours, your soul has the opportunity to communicate. You are also detoxifying various organs in your body through the night, and waking up could mean that a specific organ needs attention. For instance, the liver may require detoxification which is a sign of waking between 1-3 am. If you’re thinking about a liver detox, please consult a naturopath or health professional for assistance.

Hot flushes

During your spiritual awakening or further activations, it is common to experience a rise in body heat or even coming out in a rash, which may occur frequently in the initial stages of moving new energy through the body. Although some women may perceive it as debilitating, menopausal activations can be experienced as new energy rising through the body and awakening you.

Inability to sleep

With the numerous changes happening, it is understandable to feel confused. To help clear your mind, you could try meditation, drinking herbal tea, or using essential oils. It is crucial to alleviate adrenal fatigue and lower high levels of cortisol to allow your body to rest, rejuvenate, and repair. Some individuals may need less sleep during this time as they experience a surge in energy, enthusiasm, and motivation. It is important to pay attention to your body’s signals and understand its needs. Some weeks I sleep more than others, and I just allow my body to guide me during those times.


This can occur when you’re not doing true self-care.

To bring back your energy levels, focus on eating fresh plant-based foods and drinking filtered water. Avoid overeating processed foods because they may not make you feel as good and they take much more energy from you to digest.

It’s important to incorporate daily gentle exercise into your routine and maybe consider adjusting your supplements if necessary to combat feelings of low energy. When I am taking spiritual courses and have a full client schedule, I need to increase my supplement intake and make adjustments to my diet. This is because I use a lot of energy being in a different mental state and rely heavily on my intuition.

Always see a professional when making adjustments to supplements.

Overly emotional

As you become more empathetic and your heart field expands, your body goes through a process of eliminating old and stagnant emotions and energy, with the help of crying, which creates a way for it to flow from the body. Doing a grounding practice outdoors can improve your mood; it’s good to cry first before grounding yourself those emotions have been stuck and it’s very important to let them come out.

Change of diet

It’s very common to feel an intuitive urge to clean up your diet once you start a spiritual journey. Three years ago, I felt the pull to study and do the ‘Rhythm for a Perfect Weight’ Theta Healing course. This course aims to help you adopt a healthy eating lifestyle based on intuition. As your intuition improves, I adjust my diet accordingly. I have a lot of clients that like to work with me to help them open up and one of the areas we look at is always their diet as certain food will lower their energy and stop them from truly connecting to their higher selves.

Increased intuition

As you detox and change, so does your intuition. You may start to feel a deeper connection with the universe and everyone in it. Your intuition is one of your greatest tools, so it’s important to nurture and trust it during this process. Spend time alone connecting to nature, explore ways that you can ground yourself, and practice meditation techniques to tap into your inner voice more frequently. It is important to be mindful of the changes happening within and around you during this time of connecting to the soul, as it can be overwhelming and challenging at times. Accepting these changes with an open heart and allowing yourself to learn from them will set you on the path to greater growth and healing. 

Increased self-awareness & more confidence

As you start to recognize the power of your mind and energy, you gain a new sense of self-awareness. This newfound understanding can help you improve relationships, become more organised, and create greater success in life. You may also feel more confident as fear is replaced by faith and purpose. It’s important to make decisions from the heart rather than from fear or guilt. Believe in yourself and take the guidance that is on offer to reach your full potential. It is important to remember that you are stronger than you think and capable of achieving anything you set your mind to.

Increased creativity

Many spiritual awakenings can open up creative channels within one’s life. Your increased energy levels may provide an opportunity for new ideas to manifest into reality. 

Increased vivid dreams and lucid dreaming

As your energy expands, so can the vividness of your dreams. Lucid dreaming allows us to explore new realms and realities while teaching us more about ourselves in the process. The insights you gain from these dreams can be used to help guide you on your spiritual path. Keeping a dream journal is an excellent way to track your progress and tap into deeper understanding.

Over the next four months, we have a great opportunity to improve our consciousness by developing our intuition. This can be achieved through practising stillness, trusting our body, following our impulses, cultivating gratitude, and being mindful of the signs.

Surrendering to your soul is a wonderful journey, and I encourage you to trust your intuition and let it lead you to your true purpose. Hopefully, this blog has helped you become more aware of how developing intuition and personal growth can manifest physically during these 7 numerology years. Plus, I hope the information has given you some awareness of what effect the body can go through during this awakening phase.
