The Feminine Rising: Part One- a new way of approaching menopause using holistic spiritual healing to create a new identity.

The Feminine Rising references feminine energy. Feminine Energy includes being creative, having ideas, and loving yourself. When tapping in and using your feminine energy, it can help you understand what is right for you.

This type of feminine energy when used, helps bring in good things from the universe. By harnessing feminine energy, you can operate on a frequency that feels more natural and requires less effort. This means shifting away from the stress of constantly striving to prove yourself and the negative effects it can have on your well-being.

History states that feminine energy was stifled and dampened down by overtaking of masculine energy in our world. We have seen in the more recent years (10 years) that women are reclaiming their feminine energy.

However, I have noticed that a lot of women I help whilst rediscovering their feminine energy have low self-esteem regarding their looks. I understand their struggle because I too felt that way when I was younger because of my petite frame due to dancing. Once I entered my teenage years and my body started changing, I started comparing myself to others in a different way. Then, when I became a mother, if that was what we were blessed with in our life plan, our bodies changed and adapted. Many women struggle with their changing identity when they enter the wise woman years around menopause. During menopause, women may feel that their body is letting them down, causing additional stress. This marks the beginning of a challenging time for women as they struggle to cope with this phase of their life.

When I learned to accept my body and receive what it has given me, I began to appreciate the feminine touch of wisdom that comes with age. One of the best things I have done for myself is to remember the female energy within me. You don’t need an external source or validation from other people to be beautiful; you just have to look within.

As women, we are naturally gifted with the empathy and intuition that comes from our feminine energy. When you tap into your natural gifts, it can be an incredibly powerful experience for you, and for those around you.

Women who use their feminine energy (their feminine energy does not die when they hit menopause) to create a better life for themselves tend to make wise decisions, not only for themselves but also for their families. They know how to care for and nurture the people around them, so they can create a supportive environment that helps everyone succeed in their endeavours.  Through drawing on our inner strength and channelling iinto positive actions, you can create a better life for yourselves and those around us.

My work in providing intuitive energy work and my image consultancy skills are beneficial when working with women during their menopausal period. Specifically, helping with style, image, hair, and beauty, which has proven to be effective for my clients. The more you tap into and get excited about who you are becoming rather than what you are leaving behind, the more powerful and fulfilled you will feel. I have seen countless women overcome their struggles with menopause by reframing their thoughts and behaviours to focus on the abundance they can bring into their lives.

The wisdom and knowledge I have gained as an image consultant have again helped my clients identify what ‘image’ they want to portray to the world at this stage of life. Working on healing emotions that contribute to menopausal issues is crucial; it has been an intriguing experience working with women going through this stage, as I am also at this stage of life.

When you are constantly in that internal battle of head and heart, what do you tell yourself?

“Body image and identity is one of the biggest heartaches and heartbreaks that a woman can have internally.”

After years in the hair and beauty industry, I would have clients sitting in front of me and I would say, “What would you like to enhance today about your natural beauty with this haircut or this hair colour?” They looked at me as though I was speaking a completely different language; their reply would usually be that they could easily tell me what they didn’t like about themselves and they struggled with recognizing their beauty in the mirror. It was really sad; it was heartbreaking, and I spent a lot of time and energy with my clients back in the day teaching them how to love themselves and love that image in front of the mirror.

When you spend energy on negative thought processes about yourself, it collapses your immune system and allows your energetic aura to collapse. This then welcomes in energy drainers who do not respect your boundaries.

“You will feel judged and criticized because you are judging and criticizing yourself, the outside world is always a reflection of the inside.”

In some cases, this can lead to something far worse further down the line, such as anorexia, bulimia, and other mental disorders. I have also worked with clients around body image, and sometimes their body image issues aren’t even their own. I have observed a recurring pattern in my family’s history of passing down negative body image perceptions. So, when my daughter was born, I became determined to break this pattern and raise her with a positive body image.

When you take the time to love yourself and make sure that your body is healthy, happy, and strong, you are well on your way to having a positive relationship with your body. It takes some effort to break old patterns and end negative self-talk, but it’s worth it when you shift into feeling empowered around your image.

Here are 5 ways you can start to empower your feminine energy;

  2. Connect with nature regularly. Nature enables to ground yourself and feel you can breathe.
  3. Reconnect to your creativity. Do things that ignite you, creative things.
  4. Glam up. Make an effort to make yourself feel great. Put on your favourite outfits.
  5. Implement regularly self care practices such as hot baths, meditation, exercise, creative classes, reading, walking, swim at the beach. Anything that gives you a sense of you.
